Pipe Tobacco!

This section is entirely for enjoyment, help, tips, and general entertainment. We do not sell tobacco and have no business connections with any specific tobacco blenders so what you read here is my own personal opinion, unvarnished and perhaps unsophisticated but nonetheless representative of what I like. Before reading another word, you should know that I am by no means a technical expert on tobacco. This section is intended more as an "Everyman's" guide than as anything for the serious, legitimate tobacco-sampling critic. The tobacco reviews from the old website are now reposted here in the archives, where they are rated from 0 to 4 stars based on the coolness of their smoke, the strength and quality of their flavor, and their burning characteristics. Being affordable helps, but unfortunately the best are often the most expensive. I like my beer stout and my food spicy, so that should tell you what sort of flavors I prefer. Not all of the reviews are mine, and guest reviews are so noted. Obviously, not everyone else's tastes will agree with mine, so I've appended my own commentary after some guest reviews, and on others I may have never tried the tobacco. It's always better to have multiple viewpoints!
Sharp-eyed readers may notice that the "What I'm smoking now" page has vanished. I hadn't had time to update it since 2003, so I thought it was a bit extraneous...
