The first thing I will say is that, spec-wise, the pipe isn't particularly special. I used a black molded acrylic stem (to save time, since I wasn't making the pipe for sale but instead for myself) which has been opened at bit and tapered in airhole to my preferences. The copper shank band is a simple mass-production piece, there's a small light gap in the stem-to-band fit, and to top it off, the shank has a flaw on top! So why do I have the audacity to ask 200 euros for it, or more? Well, because if I could not sell it for that much, I would rather keep it, repair it, and smoke it myself - probably eventually giving it to a friend as a gift someday in the future. This way, it is left to the collectors to decide the value, if any. It has considerable notoriety due to its various appearances in print (see the STORY, if you haven't already) so perhaps it may have some value and/or interest above its pedestrian construction (it is, if nothing else, one of the most stunning examples of ring grain sandblasting in morta that one is ever likely to find).

Because I intended to smoke the pipe hard, and with a wide variety of tobaccos, I fitted it with a 9mm filter for my own protection (to remove the bite from some of the harsher tobaccos I intended to try). The bowl has been reamed and cleaned, and has a new layer of carbon applied. The stem has some toothmarks on it, most of which can easily be removed by sanding & buffing. The shank flaw can be seen in the picture below where it is circled. Given the pipe's possible status as a collectible, I'm leaving many options open to the buyer. Now, here is the offer:

The pipe WILL ship with a signed copy of the P&T issue it appeared in.

The pipe does NOT ship with Cachimbos - you'll have to buy that yourself.

Currently the flaw is still in the shank. I can leave it if desired, or re-fill it with ground morta cement, at the buyer's option. I am confident that a repair would make the pipe perfectly smokable for many years to come, especially since it is unlikely to be treated as roughly as I treated it.

The bit, also, can be sanded and filed to remove most marks, or left as is, at the buyer's option.

The pipe is NOT stamped at all, and will not be stamped since it is flawed. Its provenence will depend on possession of the P&T magazine or Cachimbos for visual identification.

Finally, thank you for reading all of this stuff, and here are some pictures to look at!
