Beate Kukuk and Friends
Beate (the lady in the middle with the purple hair) and her friends are German, and travel to Herbignac yearly in the summer to vacation at the local campground and see the sights here. One of these sights was the pipe shop, and she has acquired 7 morta pipes over the past few years, probably giving her one of the world's largest morta collections. We all hit it off very well and they took us along with them on several drives to sites of interest, including Carnac, Kermario, Guerande, Vannes, and Auchan (OK, just kidding on that last one...). They also introduced us to the excellent Breton-made "Scotch" whisky called Armorik. Above one can see Emily and myself, and from left to right are Thomas, Beate, Michael, and Jurgen. This was our first real socializing in France and they're the first people we've had over for drinks and pipes.
