An American Pipemaker in Brittany

April at the Bay of Sorlock

In 2002, Talbert Pipes moved from our comfortable existence in North Carolina, USA, to an entirely new life in Brittany, France in search of adventure. It was an enormously difficult transition in every way. Here, for the benefit of our families and friends from around the world, we present a little travelogue of our life in Brittany - the people we have met, the places we have seen, and occasionally an adventure or two.

News!
  • Summer, 2007 - I've made some small changes here in preparation for a serious remodel sometime later this year.  I intend to put up a lot more photos and perhaps add and remove some sections, we'll see how it goes.  Emily posted a "Five Years On" article, finally.  Obviously this area is a lot lower in priority than the pipe pages, but I do hope to pull off the updates by winter if possible.
  • Using Photoshop's automatic handy-dandy web gallery generator, I've just created a very simple web gallery of aerial photos taken (not by me) this month of some of the nearby coastal areas.  I think in future I'm going to make lots of little galleries like this for mass-uploading of "Life in France photos", but I'll worry about the details later.  Enjoy the pics!
