Name: Freehand Calabash

Notes:  Not only can a pipecleaner be passed easily from bit to bowl, but the shank airhole can be reamed out with a straight drill bit - No small feat in a bend like this!  I accomplished it via the curved tenon inlet technique I've been using lately, with excellent results.  It allows a connected airhole where ordinarily there couldn't be one without some degree of disguise/trickery with bands and such.

Positives: This is a HUGE pipe - Note the dimensions, not to mention the size comparison with the Zippo lighter.  It's my ideal perfect sort of pipe, one I wish I could keep for myself.  Very graceful shape, a combination of calabash and freehand, with one of the most pristine blocks of flaw-free briar that I've worked with.  It didn't actually need to be stained, but I thought it looked better with the light orange/gold coloring to accent the grain.  I can fit my entire little finger down into the bowl.  Centered airhole, thin bit, easy draw, easy cleaner passage, silent draw.  The stem is handcut black German ebonite.

Negatives: Nada, except for the large size.  Definitely a handheld reading pipe rather than take out on a walk.
