Name: Ballerina
Notes:
Another lighter pipe. Seeing the profusion of what I think of as
"small to medium" pipes at Rheinbach inspired me to do some of my own,
which is not to say that this is a small pipe by any means - It has
about the same bowl capacity as my group 4 Dunhill. Positives:
Excellent grain with a strong contrast stain. It does balance!
Easy draw, passes a cleaner of course, and even has some very
pretty dark bird's-eye on the top and bottom of the shank that I didn't
manage to get in any of the pics. The stem is handcut German
ebonite.
Negatives:
Can't think of a one - It's the sort of pipe I'd like to keep for myself.
