Notes:  I'm in the process of finishing up four of these straight, classic billiard shapes as part of the drive to get more (and more varied) LBs into the catalog.  We're approaching another farewell, too, as I only count ten more of these stummels in stock, and barring unforseen discoveries in the briar cavern, when they're gone, that will be the end of this shape unless I procure new, similar stummels from another source.  
This particular stummel was hard as a rock, and really fought back, refusing to take any sort of deep blast at all.  It has a detailed surface with some interestingly weird grain structure, though, and I compensated for the lack of blast depth with an "antique finish" staining job that brings out every tiny nuance of the grain texture.
